Sec.4(1)(b)(iv): The norms set for discharge of functions

• Nature of functions/ services offered
  • ICAR-CPRI provides consultancy services on potato cultivation and harvesting, potato seed production, rapid multiplication of planting materials, micropropagation, true potato seed production technology, potato storage, potato processing, farm equipment fabrication, potato starch manufacturing technology, seed health testing, post-entry quarantine clearance, testing for virus/viroid freedom of planting/ propagation stocks/field samples, bio-control of potato tuber moth, evaluation of agro-chemical viz., newpesticides, insecticides, fungi-cides, growthpromoters, sprout suppressants, fertilizer additives, etc. The consultancy processing cell of the institute looks after these activities.

  • By submitting request to Director, ICAR-CPRI, Shimla.Depending on project.
• Time- limits for achieving the targets
  • The Department Promotion Committee meetings are convened in advance in March/April after working out total vacancies that are arising in the next year.
  • The Screening Committee meeting for grant of MACP to Admn. / Skilled Support Staff are being conveyed twice in a year in accordance to OM No. 35034/3/2008-Estt. (D) dated 19.05.2009.
  • Assessment Promotions Committee meeting for assessment promotion of Technical Personnel are being convened twice in a year.
• Process of redressal of grievance
  • The mass grievances are discussed in the Institute Joint Staff Council meeting. 04 meetings in a calendar year are arranged to discussed the general issues.
  • Individual grievances are dealt with case to case basis. Such cases are placed below the duly constituted committee for consideration and recommendations.
