Working Principle: Liquid chromatography- Mass Spectroscopy (LC- MS) is a technique which combines high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), a powerful analytical separation technique with mass spectroscopy (MS), a powerful analysis & detection technique. Electrospray Ionization (ESI) is a soft ionization technique most widely used in modern times MS and is compatible with most chromatographic separations. HPLC seperations can be detected by “Photo Diode Array (PDA)” detector and Mass spectrometer as different detectors. PDA has three dimensional projection over entire UV-VIS range. It is non-destructive detector so it can be put in series like HPL C-PDA Mass Spectrometer.
